The Citadel of
Rosas, was erected in 1543. You could find
inside its walls the municipality until the 19th
century, as well as the Church of Santa Maria of
Rosas, one of the first examples of the roman
art in the peninsula. |

It was built in
1544 (16th century) by captain Pizaņo, under the
reign of Carlos I of Spain V of Germany. |

The church
square. The church was consecrated in 1796, from
which you can still find the absis, the
cross-bearer and the dome. The rest of the aisle,
along with the side oratories are a neo-classic
work by the architect Marti Sureda dating from
1853, now renovated. |

able to admire one of the most fantastic views
of the Rosas bay and the large plains of the Alt
Empordā region. |

the Costa Brava. |

The lighthouse of
Rosas was built in 1864 under the reign of
Isabel II, and dominates the sea underneath the
Trinitat Castle. |

You will find
unique pieces of arts along the boardwalk, like:
the Tourist Monument, the Fishermen Monument,
and the Roman Anchor . |

The Creus Cape
peninsula is one of the most important natural
parks. It was instituted in 1998- Law 4/1998
March 12- Creus Cape protection. |

|
The Aiguamolls of
Emporda natural park (created with the law
21/1983 October 28-protectio of the salt
marshes) was declared a protected zone after a
long process of defense campaign. |

The Albera natural
spot of national interest (created with the law
3/1986 March 10 by the Parliament of Catalonia)
may not be part of the Rosas municipality, but
can be found very close. |

The submarine
richness of our coasts is unknown to many, but
is a must see. |

The Sagrada Familia temple,
a piece of art by Gaudi, a must see in Barcelona, only two hours from
Rosas.
The Dali Museum in Figueras,
17 kilometers away.
